P.A.M Swim is a swimsuit brand founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by designer Pamela Macabu. She is originally from New York, but was raised by a Bolivian mother and a Brazilian father.

Pamela studied English at Fordham University. In addition to this, she has a book of poetry titled "11:11" Recently, Pamela dropped her teaching job to move to Rio in pursuit of her dream to become a swimsuit designer. She enrolled in a fashion course at Moda D where she discovered her newfound passion for sewing.
